Read all three windows

OpenCode documents a short window, a weekly allowance, and a monthly allowance for each model. A cheap open model can support many more requests than a premium model under the same dollar-denominated cap.

Track the percentage and reset time for each active window. A healthy monthly number can still be blocked by a short burst, while a recovered 5-hour window does not erase weekly consumption.

Separate included usage from balance

OpenCode can fall back to a separate Console or Zen balance when that option is enabled. That keeps work moving, but it changes the economics from included subscription usage to pay-as-you-go credit.

Your tracker should make the transition visible. Otherwise it is easy to think the plan still covers work that has already moved to purchased balance.

Use the model table as a forecast, not a promise

Published request estimates are based on typical token patterns. Your repository, cache behavior, and output length can differ. Compare the console reading before and after a real task to establish your own pace.
