Do not force one fake unit

A Claude percentage, a Codex window, and a Cursor dollar-equivalent budget are not directly interchangeable. Keep the provider's own percentage and reset time intact. Converting everything to “prompts” creates a number that looks simple but says very little.

Your common fields should be provider, model, task category, start time, end time, and outcome. Add plan price only when you are comparing subscription value over a full month.

Measure a recurring workload

Choose five tasks you do repeatedly: planning, feature work, debugging, tests, and review. Note which assistant completed each task and how much its active limit moved. After two weeks, patterns become visible.

A tool that looks expensive per request may still be efficient if it finishes in one pass. A cheap run that needs three corrections may consume more time and capacity overall.
