Identify the credential

A Token Plan subscription key carries included monthly usage for eligible models and workflows. A standard API key follows API billing. Label the key in your tool configuration so you do not compare plan consumption with an unrelated platform balance.

If several agents share one key, account-level usage is the source of truth. Local request logs explain which client generated the work.

Watch tokens and concurrency

MiniMax plans publish an approximate monthly token allowance and a number of concurrent agents. Both can become constraints. A healthy token balance does not help if too many agents are already active, and unused concurrency does not protect against an exhausted monthly pool.

Track model, token use, active agents, and the renewal date. For multimodal work, remember that text, image, and speech may share the same plan quota.

Use account totals for planning

MiniMax states that usage can vary with task complexity, context length, and uploaded files. Check the platform console after representative jobs rather than relying only on the plan's headline estimate.
